Real Madrid take surprise stance on superstar forward’s future

Real Madrid have taken a shocking stance on the future of Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior with recent reports revealing that the Spanish giants are willing to consider transfer offers for the 25-year-old.

Los Blancos’ current stance stems from a lack of progress in long-standing negotiations over terms of a new deal with Vinicius Junior who is reportedly keen to see his new package match that of former Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

Vini, already pocketing an annual income of about €15 million, is reportedly holding out for a 50% increase that would see his earnings shoot up to approximately €23 million including bonuses and signing fees.

With two years left on the Brazilian’s current contract and Real Madrid’s unwillingness to meet those demands, a report has now emerged that the 36-time LaLiga champions could be willing to cut ties this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, in light of the deadlock and lack of progress in negotiations, Real Madrid may be open to entertaining offers for Vinicius Junior if a convincing bid for all parties arrives.

This puts the Brazil international in an identical situation as his compatriot, Rodrygo Goes, who the Spanish giants are also open to cutting ties with following his diminished relevance over the past few months.

If Vinicius Junior leaves the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, it is believed that Real Madrid have already identified Manchester City’s Norwegian forward Erling Haaland as a potential replacement.

The Saudi Pro League’s cash-rich giants will be on high alert as they continue to monitor the winger’s situation at the Spanish capital. As things stand, the Middle-East remains Vini’s most likely landing spot in the event of a summer departure.
