Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-Min Son has referred to his farewell in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday as a ‘perfect moment’ in his career.
The South Korean international confirmed decision to leave the club this summer, revealing the news at a prematch conference on Saturday ahead of the Newcastle United match, in what might be his final appearance for Spurs.

The 33-year-old was emotional after he came off in the 65th minute to a standing ovation from the fans and guard of honour from both set of players.
Speaking after the match, Son revealed he was moved by the gesture and expressed gratitude to the fans and players for their support.
It was a perfect moment,” Son told the club’s website. “Sharing these beautiful moments are something that I will never forget and I will always appreciate it – from the fans, the players and the gaffer.
He understood my situation and was always on my side. He always listened to me and asked what I wanted to do. I have a huge respect and am very grateful.”
A deflected effort from Brennan Johnson gave Spurs an early lead in the match before Harvey Barnes leveled matters with a crisp strike in the 38th minute.
Tottenham’s day became worse after James Maddison was stretchered off with what seemed like a knee injury in the second half.
“I wish them all the best. There are five competitions ahead and I hope they win all the five competitions. That’s my wish”, he added.
“Spurs will always be in my heart and the boys will always be in my history books. It was incredible.
They’ve gone so fast, the 10 years. I can only think about the beautiful moments, amazing moments”, the South Korean concluded.
The Europa League winner gear up for their clash against UCL winners PSG in the UEFA Super Cup on the 13th of August with a tough test against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Thursday.
