Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the club’s new First Team Manager.
The Australian’s appointment arrives with more than 25 years of managerial experience and a reputation for winning silverware at the highest level.
Postecoglou enjoyed title-winning spells at Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F. Marinos before taking charge of Celtic in 2021.
In Scotland, he delivered a domestic double in his debut season and followed up with a historic treble, which earned him a FIFA World Coach of the Year nomination in 2023.
His success continued in England with Tottenham Hotspur, where he guided Spurs to a Europa League triumph in the 2024/25 campaign, their first major trophy in 17 years, and secured Champions League qualification.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis welcomed the appointment, praising the gaffer’s winning pedigree and ambition.
“We are bringing a coach to the Club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies,” Marinakis said in his statement.
“His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.
“After gaining promotion to the Premier League, then building consistently season after season to secure European football, we now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies. Ange has the credentials and the track-record to do this, and we are excited he is joining us on our ambitious journey.”
