Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes remains confident that Ruben Amorim is the right man to guide the club forward despite their recent struggles.
Amorim joined the club almost a year ago following the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag, but has struggled to instill his ideology on the team.
The Red Devils finished 15th in the English Premier League last season, their worst-ever league finish in the Premier League era.
Despite massive reinforcements in the summer, splashing over £200 million on new additions, the manager has come under intense scrutiny over his 3-4-2-1 formation.
Speaking ahead of their trip to Anfield on Sunday as they face the Premier League champions, Bruno Fernandes affirmed that the entire squad remain solidly behind their manager.
“I think the club needs stability. That’s the [message] I think Sir Jim wants to pass through everyone”, Fernandes said.
“Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture and as a group of players we believe that the manager can help this club to get back where it belongs.
If Sir Jim sees it the same way as the players, that the manager is the right one for the job, it makes it better that we have two groups of people looking in the same way.”
Man United have won three of their seven league games so far this season, losing another three.
However, they are without back-to-back in the league since the Portuguese took over and only recently won consecutive home games in the league this season.
“Any manager that comes here will be one game away from a crisis,” said the United captain.
“This club is always like that. If you win a game, it looks like you’re going to win the league. If you lose a game, it looks like there is a cloud over the club that will never go.
“We have players that are aware of the dimension of the club and how it works, we don’t need this around us. We need to know what we’re doing, what we want to achieve in the long term and what we want to achieve for the next game”, he concluded.
