Mohammed Kudus targets Spurs stardom after switch from West Ham

Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has his eyes set on greater feats with Tottenham Hotspur following his move from West Ham United.

In a permanent transfer, Spurs have acquired Kudus from West Ham, thereby attaching the attacker to north London for the long run.

The 23-year-old made the transfer after two all-action seasons at the London Stadium.

“It feels great to be here. I’m very happy and can’t wait to start,” he told club media on Thursday. “Although there is seriousness and competitiveness, football is a sport I try to enjoy and give the fans something to enjoy too.

“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it. I’ve seen the amount of talent he’s developed. I wanted to work under him,” he added.

“My personal goals are around helping the team get as many points as we can, to be as high as we can in the Premier League and go as far as we can in the Champions League.”

He already boasts Champions League pedigree, scoring four goals in six group-stage games for Ajax in 2022.

“It’s top-level football. I’m hoping to use my individual ability to help the team go as far as we can,” he concluded.

Tottenham believe Kudus’ speed, strength and end-product will raise their attack as they come back to Europe’s top tournament in 2025/26.
