The Portuguese made several changes to the lineup ahead of the clash against the Championship side and saw his side fall behind in the 19th minute to a strike by Bae Jun-ho.
However, they scored twice in the second half to avoid a shock elimination and reach the next round of the tournament.
“It’s tricky, these types of games. We knew that we have to come here and prove our quality against a good side, and this type of competition, there’s always something behind magic that anything can happen”, Silva said after the match.
“A little bit of a tricky start, but I’m really pleased with the way the team never lost control. I never felt our team was nervous, and looking at the result, for us to be in the next stage is more than fair to be honest, we deserve clearly to win the game.”
Kevin equalized for Fulham in the 55th minute, before Harrison Reed snatched the win in the 84th minute with the first FA Cup goal of his career.
“Even at half-time to be behind in the score, the chances we created before half-time, we could have had a completely different score at the break. We readjusted some things, but we kept the trust. I just told them that it is important for us to keep the tempo there”, Silva added.
“Individual point of view, some very good performances. Collective point of view, good performance overall. Apart from the one goal we conceded, the backline was solid enough as well.”
Fulham will find put their fifth round opponents later tonight, ahead of the final fourth round tie between Macclesfield, who eliminated Crystal Palace in the previous round, and Brentford.
