Khvicha Kvaratskhelia believes Paris Saint-Germain will not find it easy against Bayern Munich, but has backed his side to secure victory from the clash.
The European champions face the German giants in a heavyweight UEFA Champions League semifinal clash, with the first leg scheduled to hold on Tuesday night.
The return leg will then take place in Germany next week, with PSG looking to reach a second successive final of the competition.
PSG have recorded convincing wins so far in their knockout ties, including against Chelsea and Liverpool in their last two rounds, but Kvaratskhelia believes Bayern pose a different threat entirely.
“They have fantastic players and we’re in the semifinals, but every match is important to us and we always want to do our best”, the Georgian forward said.
“They’ve been great this season, but for us anything is possible, especially because we trust each other.”
Kvaratskhelia joined PSG from Napoli in January 2025 and has been in impressive form in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old has scored five times in his last five Champions League appearances and will be eyeing another goalscoring display against the Bundesliga champions.
The Georgian forward also reflected on his decision to move to the French club, describing it as a great choice.
“Our style of play is difficult for others to understand. The goal is to attack and defend.
“He gives us a lot of freedom, and that’s crucial for attacking players. I’m very happy with our coach and proud of the choice I made in coming here”, Kvaratskhelia said, expressing admiration for PSG head coach Luis Enrique.
PSG defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in the final of last season’s Champions League and will now be looking to book a spot in another final.
Should the French side overcome Bayern Munich, they will go on to face either Arsenal or Atletico Madrid in the final in Budapest on May 30.
