Aston Villa’s Rogers shrugs off transfer rumours

England forward Morgan Rogers has admitted he is aware of the growing transfer speculation surrounding his future but insists his full attention remains on performing on the pitch.

The Aston Villa attacker has emerged as one of the most sought-after players ahead of the summer transfer window, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United all reportedly monitoring his situation.

Reports have linked the 23-year-old with a potential £80 million move, but Rogers says experience has helped him handle the noise that comes with increased attention.

Currently away with England at the World Cup, Rogers is determined not to let transfer talk distract him from the biggest tournament of his career.

Speaking on the Rest Is Football Podcast, Rogers reflected on how he has learned to manage speculation around his future.

“I think the first time it ever happened it was,” Rogers told the Rest Is Football Podcast when asked if transfer speculation affects his concentration.

“You’re in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and you’re not quite realising that.

“But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise.

“You hear it, course you do. You can’t help not [hearing it]. You know it’s there but you’ve got to use it in a positive way.

“You just try and get on with your game and just focus.”

Rogers has enjoyed a standout campaign that has elevated his reputation across Europe, attracting interest from several elite clubs.

Despite the growing attention, the England international appears determined to keep his focus on football rather than speculation, with the World Cup presenting an opportunity to further enhance his profile on the global stage.

For now, Rogers remains committed to letting his performances do the talking while the transfer rumours continue to swirl around one of England’s most exciting attacking talents.
