Former Tottenham Hotspur striker has ruled out a return to the Premier League this summer, insisting that he’s ‘very happy’ at Bayern Munich amid growing links to Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Kane swapped Premier League football for the Bundesliga after spending 19 years on the books at Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team captain has taken to life in Germany like a duck to water.
Despite failing to lift the Bundesliga crown with Bayern last season as they ended up second best to an unbeatable Bayer Leverkusen side, Kane’s deadly accuracy in front of goal was on full display with the Englisman breaking numerous scoring records in his debut season.
This season, he has continued to fire on all cylinders as the Bavarians edge closer to reclaiming the Bundesliga title. His mesmerizing form has triggered rumours of a potential return to England with United, Liverpool and Spurs said to be interested in his services.
However, Kane has dismissed talks of an immediate return to his country’s first division. Although, the experienced striker did not completely rule it out in the long term.
“A few random stories. I don’t know where they come from, but for sure I’m happy here at Bayern Munich,” he said in an interview with ESPN.
“I’m not sure. I’ve said throughout my whole career, I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I’m extremely happy here.
“I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just feel like whilst I feel like I’m in the best condition, I wanna play at the highest level possible, and this is as high as it gets.
“So I know a lot can change in football in a short space of time and things can happen, but ultimately my focus is here. I’m not thinking about any other league or any other team.
“And with football, I like to just go the flow and at the moment the flow is here at Bayern Munich.”
