Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is all fired up as his side prepares for a crucial La Liga trip to Real Sociedad at Anoeta. The fixture, scheduled for Saturday evening, promises to be a stern test against a side that thrives at home.
“A visit to Anoeta is always demanding and against a good opponent. Everyone has been in good shape, no one injured or injured, and we hope they all train,” Alonso told reporters.
“Looking ahead to tomorrow, we’re eager to get back to playing after the break. We have a good chance of being able to face the next one. Games come every three days, and we need everyone pulling together.”
The Spanish coach emphasized unity and squad depth as Madrid prepare for a congested run of games. With fixtures stacked up every three days, he stressed the need for the team to maintain focus and rhythm.
He added: “We want to be successful. We want to manage the team well, using our footballing and human qualities. We want everyone to feel on board. We’re starting off in very demanding blocks with games every three days until the next break, and we need everyone to pull in the same direction.”
While the squad is largely fit, the big question surrounds Jude Bellingham. The midfielder has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, but Alonso provided a positive update on his recovery.
“I want to be a little optimistic and hope he can be back before October. He’s started doing partial things with the group, without contact because he still needed to be protected a little so his shoulder would heal properly.
“Jude has made a great effort in his recovery and is feeling very good. He won’t be back tomorrow, but let’s see if next week he can make progress and train more normally. When we get a good feeling, especially from him, we’ll be waiting for him.”
Santiago Bernabeu fans will take encouragement from Alonso’s words, as Bellingham’s presence has been pivotal in their strong start to the season. Though unavailable for the Anoeta showdown, his return could come sooner than expected.
