Portuguese star Ruben Dias has stated that he and his Manchester teammates have to do better to stop their abysmal run on form in recent weeks.
Manchester City are currently in their worst run of form since Pep Guardiola took over as coach. The reigning Premier League kings have only managed one win from their last ten games, with seven of those ending in losses.
On Wednesday, they suffered their first loss of this season’s Champions League, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Juventus.
The Cityzens dominated the fixture, but they failed to create enough chances to score goals and win the game.
After the match, Manchester City defender Dias asserted that his side did not do enough to get a result. However, he has asked them to pick up the pace and return to their best form.
“We have to do better. If you look at the game, we had our chances – very good ones I’d say. But the kind of team we are is that you do not leave a game like this to chance – you win it, period,” Dias said, per City Report.
“The game could’ve been different today, but it doesn’t matter! The way we play – you win or you win, so we have to be better!”
Next up for Manchester City is a big game against City rivals Manchester United. The Red.Devils have also not been in top form recently, so it promises to be an enthralling encounter.
