FC Bayern have agreed long-term extensions for key members of Vincent Kompany’s coaching staff.
Assistant coaches Rene Maric, Aaron Danks and Floribert Ngalula, plus goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner, have all committed to the club until 30 June 2029.
That means Kompany can continue the work with the trusted group who have helped reshape Bayern’s style and competitiveness.
Kompany himself signed a new contract until 2029 in October, adding continuity at the top of the dugout.
Together they have overseen a period of renewed purpose at the club.
Bayern have been fighting at the top of the Bundesliga and remain serious contenders in the Champions League under the Belgian’s leadership.
Their tactical coherence and resilient defence have been standout features this season: a clear climb since Kompany took over.
Max Eberl, Bayern’s board member for sport, welcomed the news.
“We are pleased that, following Vincent Kompany, we’ve also been able to extend the contracts of his coaching team,” he said.
“With this well-functioning group, we want to continue on the path we’re on and tackle the challenges of the future together.”
Maric has built a reputation for detailed match preparation and creative training sessions.
Danks brings vast experience from top-level coaching backgrounds and strong player-relations work.
Ngalula is respected for his tactical insights and defensive organisation.
Rechner continues to innovate in goalkeeping coaching, shaping how Bayern’s keepers play out from the back.
Securing all four until 2029 gives Bayern rare stability in a modern football era where coaching crews often rotate.
It also signals big intent as the club push for more domestic and European success.
Fans can now look forward to watching this settled coaching team guide Bayern through the next exciting phase with continuity, clarity and collective ambition at the heart of their project.
