Harrison Reed scored a stunning late strike to break Liverpool’s hearts and earn Fulham a point in a dramatic English Premier League match on Sunday.

The Premier League champions thought they had snatched the win when Cody Gakpo struck in stoppage-time, but the Cottagers grabbed a stunning point in a pulsating affair.

Fulham headed into the clash on the back of an unbeaten run in their last four league matches, but remained without their Nigerian trio who were still in action at the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

Liverpool, meanwhile, were without defeat in their last seven league matches, but were held to a disappointing draw by Leeds United in their last outing.

Harry Wilson had the ball in the back of the net in the 17th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside by the assistant referee.

However, after review by the VAR, the goal was given, putting Fulham in the ascendancy early on in the clash.

Liverpool then went close to equalizing through Cody Gakpo, who struck the crossbar with a header as the home side went into the break with a one-goal lead.

The Dutchman had the ball in the back of the net two minutes after the restart, but it was correctly ruled out for offside, before Alexis MacAllister hit the post with a fine header.

Florian Wirtz then scored the equalizer later in the game, the goal surviving a very tight offside call to make the scoreline 1-1.

The excellent Wilson then smacked the crossbar with an attempt as both sides sensed a winner, until drama unfolded in stoppage-time.

The Reds thought they had scored a late winner when Gakpo scored four minutes into added time, but the home side snatched a point at the death with a stunning effort.

Reed fired in a spectacular effort from 30 yards into the top corner beyond the reach of Alisson as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Liverpool remain fourth in the standings with 34 points, while Fulham move to 11th on the standings with 28 points.
