Ismaila Sarr scored twice for Crystal Palace as they secured a comeback 3-1 win over 10-man Tottenham Hotspur in Thursday night’s Premier League clash.
The Senegalese forward netted twice in the first half, including a first from the penalty spot as the Eagles secured a crucial win, piling pressure on Spurs interim boss Igor Tudor.
Dominic Solanke had given the hosts the lead, but Micky van de Ven gave away a penalty kick and was sent off in the process minutes later.
Sarr converted to level matters, before Jorgen Strand Larsen put them ahead and the Senegalese international added a third goal in the closing stages of the first half.
Tottenham went into the clash eyeing their first league win of 2026, while Crystal Palace were hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Sarr put the visitors ahead after his deflected effort flew past Vicario, but the strike was ruled out for s contentious offside decision.
Spurs then took advantage just a few moments later and went in front after great work allowed Archie Gray to find Solanke, who tapped home from close range.
Their lead lasted only a few minutes as Van de Ven was dismissed for fouling Sarr who was through on goal inside the red.
The referee’s decision was a penalty kick and a red card to the Dutch defender, with Sarr scoring from the spot to level the scoreline.
Wharton then played a pass to Larsen, who fired in through the legs of Vicario to put Palace ahead, before Sarr latched on to another fine ball from Wharton to give the Eagles a 3-1 advantage.
The defeat means Tudor remains without a win in his three games in charge of the Europa League champions and they are now only a single point above the drop zone.
