Max Dowman became the youngest-ever goalscorer in Premier League history at 16 years and 73 days after his goal for Arsenal in the 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.
The teenage sensation was making only his third league appearance in the league for the Gunners after coming on in the second half, but netted in stoppage-time to complete the win.
The 16-year-old broke the record set by former Everton player James Vaughan, who scored against Crystal Palace in 2005 at 16 years and 270 days.
Dowman also became the youngest player in Champions League at 15 years and 308 days after his appearance against Slavia Prague in November 2025.
Arsenal moved closer to the Premier League title following their 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, as they moved nine points clear at the top after Manchester City dropped points against West Ham on the same day.
The Gunners dominated the start of the game, but the Toffees grew into the game and Iliman Ndiaye forced David Raya into a save, before Dwight Mc-Neil rattled the woodwork witrh an effort.
The North London side were denied a clear penalty in the second half after Michael Keane brought down Kai Havertz inside the box, although the referee waved off penalty appeals and the VAR agreed with the decision.
Dewsbury-Hall and Beto then forced Raya into good saves, before Jordan Pickford denied Eberechi Eze with a strong save.
Dowman came on later in the second half and he immediately turned the game in favour of Arsenal as Pickford failed to collect his cross, before the ball fell to Gyokeres who turned home the opener.
Then the history-making moment came in stoppage-time as Pickford, who had come up for a corner was caught in the Arsenal half, leaving Dowman to run and score his maiden Arsenal goal.
Arsenal will now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg in midweek, as they hope to defeat Bayer Leverkusen and seal a spot in the quarterfinals.
