Spurs’ De Zerbi reacts to Mohammed Kudus injury blow

Roberto De Zerbi has delivered a candid update on Mohammed Kudus, admitting Tottenham Hotspur must quickly regroup following the forward’s latest injury setback.

Kudus, who had been edging toward a return from a hamstring issue, has now suffered a fresh blow that could require surgery: potentially ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

The timing is a major setback for De Zerbi, who had earmarked the attacker as a key figure in his tactical plans.

“I started with not big luck! Kudus was in my head, a crucial player. But we have to look forward anyway,” said the manager.

Switching focus, the Spurs boss highlighted the attacking depth at his disposal, urging his squad to step up and fill the void left by Kudus.

“We have a lot of very good attackers and we have to help them show their qualities.

“[Randal] Kolo Muani is not playing a great season but he is a good player. Mathys Tel, I wanted him in Marseille. Xavi Simons is a big talent. Richarlison and [Dominic] Solanke you know better than me.

“We have to put them in the best condition.”

Names like Randal Kolo Muani, Mathys Tel, Xavi Simons, Richarlison and Dominic Solanke now come into sharper focus as Tottenham look to maintain attacking momentum despite the setback.

Meanwhile, De Zerbi also confirmed that Guglielmo Vicario and Rodrigo Bentancur remain unavailable, adding further pressure on squad depth.

As Spurs push forward into the business end of the campaign, the message from the dugout is clear: adapt, respond, and keep the attack firing despite adversity.
