Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Spaniard guided Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 22 years, after they finished top of the standings ahead of Manchester City.
The Gunners won 26 of their 38 matches and drew seven times, recording only five defeats on their way to being crowned champions of England.
Their journey began with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in August and ended with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.
However, they were crowned champions on the penultimate matchday of the week after Manchester City failed to win wt Bournemouth, handing them their first league title since the Invincibles in the 2003-04 season.
Arsenal also finished with the best defensive record in the league, conceding 27 goals, while goalkeeper David Raya won the Golden Glove award for a third consecutive year.
Arteta became the second youngest manager to win the Premier League title behind Jose Mourinho and he was also the first manager to win the title as an ex-player in the league.
He has been nominated for the award for three of the last four years, but finally claimed the award for the first time and becomes the first Arsenal manager to win it since Arsene Wenger.
Meanwhile, Arteta won the award ahead of Pep Guardiola, Andoni Iraola, Keith Andrews, Michael Carrick and Regis Le Bris.
With the Premier League season now over, Arteta and Arsenal will shift their focus to Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners are aiming to win the competition for the first time and have eliminated the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP and Atletico Madrid to reach their first final in 20 years, but face defending champions PSG, who thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 in last year’s final.
