Noussair Mazraoui has hailed the impact of interim head coach Michael Carrick since arriving at Manchester United earlier in the year.
The former Middlesbrough manager was appointed on a short-term basis following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim in January and has led the club to a remarkable upturn in results.
The Red Devils remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this season and moved up to third in the standings with a comeback 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
It also marked their sixth win in seven matches since the arrival of Carrick at the club, as they are currently in the running to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
“He has a big history at the club. He knows the club really, really well”, Mazraoui stated.
“You see and you feel that in this type of coaching and the words he’s saying to us in his meetings.
“You really see that he knows the club, really feels the value of the club, because he has a great history here.”
Mazraoui made his 14th league appearance of the season on Sunday, coming on for the injured Luke Shaw in the first half.
Man United came back from a first half deficit and scored twice in the second half to record a massive 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, who were also reduced to 10 men early in the second half.
“He won big prizes, so he knows how it is in the good times, in the bad times, and you just see and feel that, and I think we also show that through these last games, of course”, Mazraoui added.
“That’s not by luck or anything, that’s more quality and his understanding of the club rather than anything else.”
Man United will be back in action on Wednesday when they face Newcastle United, hoping for another win as they continue the race to seal a remarkable return to the Champions League.
