Conceicao reaffirms commitment to Juventus amid Liverpool interest

Francisco Conceicao has pledged his commitment to Juventus, shutting down transfer speculations to Premier League champions Liverpool.

Conceicao, 23, has emerged as a potential target for the English club in recent days as they look to replace Mohamed Salah, who will leave at the end of the season.

The Egyptian forward will depart the club after nine hugely successful years once the season runs out and they have already begin searching for replacements in the transfer window.

Conceicao has enjoyed an impressive campaign so far for the Bianconeri as they chase Champions League qualification, but he has now pledged his focus to helping them achieve success on a long-term.

“I know people talk about it being a great club, but I play for a big club where I’m happy”, Conceicao revealed.

“Right now I’m only focused on these two games we have with the national team, and then I’ll concentrate on the final stretch of the championship to help my club as much as possible.”

Conceicao joined Juventus on an initial loan deal in 2024, with the move made permanent last summer after he showed great promise.

This season, he has scored four times and provided three assists across all competitions for the Old Lady.

Liverpool might now have to shift their attention to other targets, as they are also monitoring the likes of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon.

“I’m at a big club where the pressure to win is immense. I just have to keep working and contributing with goals and assists”, Conceicao concluded.

The 23-year-old will be eyeing a starting role for Portugal when they face Mexico in a friendly match on Sunday, as they continue preparations for the summer’s World Cup.
