Liverpool have officially completed the signing of highly-rated defender Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais, with the young centre-back arriving at Anfield on a long-term contract subject to international clearance.
The Reds had reached an agreement with the French club earlier in the year, and the transfer is now set to be formally confirmed as Jacquet prepares to begin his journey with the Premier League giants.
The 20-year-old defender joins Liverpool after developing through Rennes’ academy system, where he progressed from youth football into the senior squad.
Jacquet made 33 first-team appearances for the French side before sealing his move to England.
The France Under-21 international enjoyed a breakthrough period during the 2025-26 campaign, featuring 21 times for Rennes before his season was interrupted by a shoulder injury suffered in February.

Before establishing himself at Rennes, Jacquet gained valuable senior experience during a loan spell at Clermont Foot, where he made 24 appearances across a year-long stay.
